Kings Heath Demolition are pleased to have completed the demolition/site clearance works at 168 Bridge Street Birmingham.
The contract involved the full demolition and site clearance of various structures up to 4 storey’s in height in a very tight city centre location. A cut line had to be carried out by hand on all floors to the demised building to enable the safe demolition of the structures.
Despite a tight programme and site restrictions the contract was carried out on time with no disruption to the neighbouring properties.
Tanhouse Farm Estate - Dudley
Kings Heath Demolition are currently undertaking the full demolition/site clearance in phases of various Pod buildings within the Tanhouse Farm Estate in Dudley for a valued repeat client.
The contract involves very tight logistics and careful planning due to the location of the pods and of the close proximity to other live buildings and the general public.
The works are being carried out in sequence and with the minimum of disruption to neighbours.
Kings Heath Demolition Ltd have recently completed the demolition works at Unit A & B Midpoint Park Birmingham for a valued repeat client.
The contract involved the full demolition of a link building which included a cut line to the retained buildings. A full strip out/ demolition of the internal warehouse buildings and offices was also carried out.
The contract was completed on time and on budget to the satisfaction of our client.
Kings Heath Demolition Ltd have successfully completed a large complex contract at the Former Wolseley Distribution hub at Spa Park, Leamington for our valued client.
The contract involved the dismantling of a link bridge serving the two warehouses. A full strip out to the internal offices and dismantling/full demolition of 6,000m2 of internal mezzanine floors and equipment was also carried out. As part of the contract we also removed some external buildings/staircases and completely removed the external canopies and gable walls.
The contract was completed ahead of time and on budget to the satisfaction of our client.
HMP North Sea Camp Boston
Kings Heath Demolition have recently completed another contract for our valued client Shaylor Group.
The contract within a live Prison involved the de commissioning and a full clean out to a former sewerage plant together with the full demolition of all structures and ground remediation.
Despite the challenging site conditions and the poor weather the team from KHD completed the works 1 week early.
During the summer Kings Heath Demolition were involved with the strip out works at the Molineux Stadium.
Works included the complete re- modification of both changing rooms and media areas over three floors. Time constraints on the programme were very tight and had to be completed within a short programme in time for the start of the Premier League season.
This was completed on time and to budget much to the delight of our valued clients.
4 St Phillips Place Birmingham
Kings Heath Demolition have successfully completed the Strip out contract at 4 St Phillips Place in Birmingham.
The contract involved the removal of loadbearing walls and the removal of the internal Atrium over 6 floors.
Constraints on space meant the contract had to be planned meticulously when moving material out of the building.
The contract was completed on time and on Budget despite the challenging conditions and to the satisfaction of our clients.
Vaughan Trading Estate Tipton
Kings Heath Demolition have recently completed the site remediation works for one of our valued clients at Vaughan Trading Estate, Tipton.
In all some 7 acres of ground was broken up and crushed on site for re-use in the new development. A total of 15,000 ton of material was recycled within the contract achieving a breeam rating of 100%.
The contract was completed on budget and on time with no disruption to any neighbouring properties and to the complete satisfaction of our client.
John Lewis Distribution Centre Milton Keynes
Kings Heath Demolition have successfully completed another major demolition project of a former John Lewis Distribution Centre in Milton Keynes for a valued client.
The project involved full demolition of all buildings on site totalling 180,000 ft2 together with the crushing and screening of all slabs and foundations to Type 1 specification, to be re-used within the new development.
The contract was carried out on time and on budget despite a very tight programme of works and local restrictions.
Kings Heath Demolition Ltd have successfully completed an intricate demolition project in close proximity to three occupied buildings in Cradley Heath.
The project involved enabling works which had to be carried out before the main demolition could start. This included the installation of a legato block system retaining wall to retain the integrity of two neighbouring buildings and the surrounding land. Hand demolition of the rear gable wall had to be completed prior to any mechanical demolition due to the unstable nature of the gable wall. All works were carried out as per the Project Engineers reports.
We also undertook the removal of notifiable asbestos to the main boiler house and inserted a Floor Saw cut line adjacent to the legato blocks before works commence.
The Main demolition works were bounded on two sides by occupied buildings. Meticulous logistics planning was required to enable the smooth running of the project due to the sensitive nature of the site area. Works were completed on time with minimum disruption to neighbours. We crushed and recycled over 2500 tonnes of hardcore and achieved an overall recycling rate of 98.75% on the material produced.
Unit 2-4 Bilton Industrial Estate Coventry
We have completed another successful contract to demolish a former office block in Coventry. Careful planning went into the contract due to the close proximity of the site to a walkway servicing the local school and a road junction serving the access road to the industrial estate.
The job was sequenced and carried out on time with a minimum of disruption to the local community.
As part of the contract we recycled 2900 ton of concrete and brick to a 6F2 standard that went back into the local area to be re used.
Kings Heath Demolition Ltd have successfully completed the demolition of a former Manor House for a highly prominent DJ in the music industry.
The contract was carried out on time to the client’s instructions.
Aside from the main demolition works we reclaimed over 45,00 handmade bricks, together with slates, reclaimed flooring and panelling.
Part of the contract was to cap a well on the site which was done to the engineer’s specification.
We also crushed over 900 ton of brick and concrete that was re used within the development.
Kings Heath Demolition have completed another contract at Core 42 Tamworth.
The contract called for careful planning and consideration due to the close proximity of the main A5 and the constant traffic.
The works were discussed at length with our Health and Safety adviser and sequenced to cause the minimum of disruption to neighbours bordering the site and the general public. The contract was completed on time and we successfully reclaimed over 50,000 bricks and a large quantity of pine and oak trusses. We left the site left clean and free from obstructions.

Kings Heath Demolition have recently completed a major Strip out/ Demolition contract within the existing shopping centre in close proximity to live shops and the general public. The contract included full removal of the existing curtain wall system, structural steelwork, internal non- structural walls and a complete strip out of the former Burger King back to its original shell, which included out of hours working. The contract was completed on time with the minimum of disruption to the general public.

The project involved working alongside the archaeologist throughout every stage of the works. The project involved demolition of two and three storey buildings with a facade retention to the main front wall, and a selective strip out and alterations on two listed buildings. The main demolition works was bounded on three sides by occupied premises. Meticulous logistics planning was required to enable the smooth running of the project due to the sensitive nature of the site. Works were successfully completed with minimum disruption to neighbours and the general public.
Russel's Hall Hospital Dudley

Kings Heath Demolition Ltd were appointed to carry out some minor demolition and strip out works to the existing A+E Department. The team had a very tight programme of 5 days to complete the works with all the constraints of a working hospital. The work was completed on time and with the minimum of disruption to everyone’s satisfaction.
Kings Heath Demolition Ltd have recently completed the Emergency works for our client on the main A34 Stratford Road involving the demolition of 7no 3 storey fire damaged shops.
Liaising with our client and the Local Council officer we mobilised our services with 24 hours’ notice to commence work on site.
Working under the council order (Section 78 dangerous structures notice) and a road closure we successfully demolished the fire damaged structure with extreme care due to the unstable condition of the buildings.
The main A34 was re-opened with the minimum of disruption to neighbouring residents and any businesses affected.
